About the book:
"NOT approved for Exes" is the debut autofiction novel of the author. The story unfolds in a small town during times when no one yet knew what decommunization was, Crimea was free, and the main character Halyna believed she had married the man of her dreams. Well, life teaches her that everything can change with a single turn.
 
The book is filled with irony, movies, a bit of Kropyvnytskyi (formerly Kirovohrad), and lots of emotions. Halyna tells everything as it happens and helps you escape from reality for a few hours.
 
About the Author:
Halyna Tarasenko was born in Kropyvnytskyi. She got a master degree in Ukrainian language and literature there, a diploma she never used. She dedicated ten years to working in technological startups, dreaming that someday she would dare to write a book. She finally did only after a full-scale invasion, and within a year, while everyone was getting used to air raids and blackouts, she finished the manuscript.
 
Halyna lives in Kyiv with her husband and a basenji dog. Halyna runs a blog about movies, drinks a lot of coffee, and doesn't like hugging even her friends.
